How to get in touch
Contact is by email only. There is no phone line and no contact form — a form would mean collecting your details on a server, and the whole point of this site is that it does not do that. An email you choose to send is the only personal data we ever receive.

When the address above is live, it will be the single route for corrections, questions and anything else about the site. It will also be the route for a privacy request — see the privacy policy for your rights under the UK GDPR.
What we can help with
- A figure that looks wrong. The most useful thing you can send us. Please include the page, the numbers you entered and what you expected — that is usually enough to reproduce it.
- A page that will not work. Tell us the page and what your browser did: no result appeared, an error message, a button that does nothing.
- A missing calculator. If there is a job the site does not cover yet, say which one.
- Anything about privacy or these pages. Questions about the privacy policy, the affiliate disclosure or the about page are welcome.
What we cannot help with
- Professional or structural advice. The calculators give quantities, not engineering or building-regulations advice. Anything structural needs a qualified professional.
- Prices, quotes or orders. This site does not sell materials and cannot quote for them. For a price, go to your merchant — the calculators only tell you how much to ask for.
- Product-specific data. Coverage per litre, pack sizes and stock vary by product and by store. Your merchant's current product data always beats a general figure.
Making a message easy to act on
If you are reporting a problem, this is the shape that helps most:
- the page and, if it helps, the exact link to it;
- the values you entered in each box, including the units;
- the figure you got, and the figure you expected;
- your browser and device, if the page itself misbehaved.
We do not promise a reply time yet, because the address is not live and there is nothing to answer. Once it is, genuine messages about the calculators will be read.
Privacy in one line
If you email us, we keep your message long enough to deal with it and then a reasonable while afterwards in case you come back, and we do nothing else with it. The privacy policy has the detail.
